Am Samstag nach dem Martinsfest war Pfarrer Jürgen Josef Eckl in seiner Heimatpfarrei St. Martin in Miltach eingeladen, um dort bei Patrozinium die Festpredigt zu halten. Dem feierlichen Gottesdienst mit fünf Konzelebranten stand sein Heimatpfarrer BGR Monsignore Augustin Sperl vor.
Mit dem Miltacher Patrozinium ist seit 302 Jahren der jährliche Martiniritt verbunden, der aus einem Gelöbnis hervorging. In diesem Jahr waren es mit 155 Pferden bzw. Reitern pandemiebedingt etwas weniger; und dennoch war es ein herrliches Bild, als die Pferde die eucharistische Prozession anführten. Betend und unter musikalischer Begeleitung der Blaskapelle zogen die Ortsvereine, die Vertreter des öffentlichen Lebens und die Priester mit dem Allerheiligsten zur Maria-Hilf-Kapelle, wo der Johannes-Prolog verkündet wurde.
